Jamie Zwilling is the Director of Communication and Engagement Services and Chief Communications Officer for Hennepin County, Minnesota. He is responsible for the county’s strategic communications planning and he oversees a communications and engagement department responsible for writing, graphic design, video production, social media, media relations, events, customer experience, facilitation and community engagement.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in news-editorial journalism from Texas Christian University and a master’s of public administration from Hamline University.

Before joining Hennepin County in 2015, he spent seven years leading communications for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, led media relations for the Minnesota Department of Revenue, and worked as an award-winning journalist covering business and government in Texas, Arizona and Minnesota.
