Jennifer Starkey began working as Director of Public Affairs & Engagement for the City of Webster Groves in 2021. She is responsible for developing communication strategies to help advance the City of Webster Groves and engage the community. These strategies include print and digital communications, social media outreach, media relations, partnerships with community organizations and more. 

Prior to joining the City of Webster Groves, she was the Director of Community Engagement at Webster University, where she helped the University work more closely with the community of Webster Groves. Previously, she worked in public relations at a variety of non-profit organizations and international corporations. 

Starkey is a member of the board for the Webster Groves, Rock Hill, Shrewsbury Chamber of Commerce and is also a member of the Alliance for Interracial Dignity. She holds a bachelor of arts in broadcast journalism and a master of arts in communications management, both from Webster University.
