Savannah Olinger is the Director of Communications for the City of Madison, SD, where she supports engagement, communication, and collaboration with residents, businesses, and other key stakeholders. With 10 years of experience in branding, communications, and marketing, she brings a strong mix of creativity and strategy to every project.

Before joining the City, Savannah served as the Director of Public Relations & Marketing for a nonprofit healthcare facility, where she built the organization’s first branding guidelines and led patient-centered communication efforts. Earlier in her career, she was the Development Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills, forging key relationships with donors, businesses, and community partners, leading rebranding efforts, and developing marketing strategies during the challenges of COVID-19.

Savannah’s passion for helping others also shows through her work as a former supervisor at Wellfully, a youth residential treatment center in western South Dakota. Her education includes a master’s in health administration, a bachelor’s in human services/management, and an associate’s in criminal justice.

Outside of her full-time role, Savannah and her husband run a local business in Madison where she manages marketing, operations, employee relations, and finances. She also serves as 2025 President of the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, supporting business growth in the community.

Savannah believes in the power of strong communication and strategic branding to make a lasting impact, both for the organizations she serves and for the greater community.
